Gwon Geun

Court scholar and astronomer Gwon Geun directed the engraving onto a large stone slab for a new star chart or planisphere that was ordered by King Taejo in the early years of the Joseon (or Yi) Dynasty in what is now the Korean Peninsula. Their work was completed in 1395.
