Julius, Willem Henri
摘要
Julius was a physicist mainly known for his (ultimately failed) efforts to explain various features of solar physics as effects of anomalous dispersion. However, his work in spectroscopy, spectrophotometry, and solar astrophysics turned Utrecht into a world center for astrophysics and solar spectrophotometry (Hentschel 1991, Snelders 1985, Groot 1925, Moll 1925, Nijland 1925, Went 1925).
