Henroteau, François Charles Pierre

During the 1920s and early 1930s, François Henroteau was among the most prolific of Canadian astronomers. His work embraced a wide variety of subjects but chiefly involved stellar parallax, stellar spectroscopy (especially radial velocity determinations), and the nature of binary and variable stars (Jarrell, The Cold Light of Dawn: A History of Canadian Astronomy. Department of Energy, Mines, and Resources, Canada, Ottawa, pp 99–100, 1989). He also conducted an extensive study of “early” class B stars.
