Eddie, Lindsay Atkins
摘要
Lindsay Eddie was a versatile South African amateur astronomer who is perhaps best remembered for his detailed visual descriptions and astrometric observations of comets visible from the Southern Hemisphere. But the late nineteenth-century rise of astrophysics piqued his interest, and he became well-enough versed in that subdiscipline to publish a small number of papers in leading peer-reviewed journals, chiefly on variable and Wolf-Rayet stars.
