Monoclonal Antibodies as Biotherapeutics
摘要
Monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) have revolutionised modern medicine due to their ability to treat a wide range of diseases, including cancer, autoimmune diseases and infectious diseases. This chapter provides a comprehensive overview of mAbs, covering their selection, general characteristics, therapeutic uses and applications in diagnostics and radionuclide therapy. The rationale for their development and production, their advantages compared to other treatments and their various clinical applications are explored. In addition, specific examples of mAbs used in current clinical practice and their impact on improving treatment accuracy and efficacy are discussed. This chapter aims to provide an in-depth understanding of mAbs, highlighting their importance and potential in contemporary medicine.
