Environmental Impacts of International Water Resources-Based Conflicts
摘要
The conflicts related to the environment have come out as significant concerns that challenge the safety of people or livelihoods locally, regionally, nationally, and globally. Environmental catastrophes and dilemmas are prevalent worldwide and are rising rapidly. As related to these contexts, this chapter deals with environmental conflicts, people and the environment, climate change, and environmental conflicts, and management implications. The term “people and the environment” describes the goods and services provided by ecosystems, associations, mutual interactions, and concerns related to accessibility. Definite basic kinds of conflicts as well as the major demonstrations and inferences of these conflicts are inspected in the subsequent sections that consist of forestry, biodiversity, environmental air quality, and land, water, and natural resource management conflicts. Then the effects of climate change linked with environmental conflict have been discussed. The chapter ends with a discussion of environmental conflict management.
