摘要

The SARS-CoV-2 virus, responsible for COVID-19 pandemic has had an impact leading to rates of illness and death. People affected by COVID-19 often develop fungal infections, some of which are resistant, to common treatments. These resistant infections have been associated with outcomes and fatalities. This chapter explores the correlation between COVID-19, antibiotic usage, and the development of resistance (AMR). The pandemic has disrupted healthcare systems. Increased use of antibiotics creates a concerning situation for the rise of AMR. It is crucial to understand these interactions in order to develop strategies for managing AMR during this pandemic and future health crises.
