Alternative Energy Resources in MENA Regions with a Focus on the Thermal Energy Storage (TES)
摘要
This chapter is an attempt to understand how thermal energy, which is supposed to be generated from a renewable energy source, regardless of the technology used, can be generated, how can we use them for the purpose of making power available to the consumer, and how can the generation, transmission, and distribution grids work more efficiently and reliably and can contribute to solving some of the major problems and technical challenges of adapting generation to the volume of demand. All of this is also used to further integrate energies from renewable and sustainable sources into electricity systems, national grid, or regional interconnection. This chapter was based mainly on a paper (in Arabic) submitted by me to a virtual scientific conference held by the Federation of Arab Engineers in Cairo on 27th of November 2021, and the general objective of the conference focused on interconnection of electricity between Arab countries, its most important problems, prospects and ways to develop it.
