Bismuth(III) compounds are especially attractive as green reagents and catalysts for organic synthesis because they are remarkably nontoxic, relatively air and moisture stable, and easy to handle. Due to these attractive properties, they have surged in popularity. This mini review summarizes contributions since 2022 in the field of applications of bismuth(III) compounds as catalysts for organic synthesis.
