Cancer cells produce cytokines and stimulatory chemical signals that induce the reprogramming of surrounding healthy cells that make up the microenvironment, aiming to promote tumor growth and achieve distant organ metastasis. The understanding of tumor cells growth and migration, evading the organism’s immune control, is crucial for the developing of new mitigation strategies.
