Thyroid cancer (TC) incidence has been on the rise in recent years and is considered the most common endocrine malignancy around the globe. Simultaneously, the prevalence of obesity and overweight has also increased, encouraging scientists to focus on the link between TC and obesity. The existence of some evidence suggests the probable connection between obesity, insulin resistance, oxidative stress, gene expression, and TC. However, the links between obesity and TC are still unclear. This manuscript explores the most recent information regarding the possible association between obesity and TC and summarizes the potential links connecting these two global health concerns.
