Many cancer treatment modalities have been developed and explored over time. In addition to surgery, radiation therapy, classical chemotherapy, and targeted therapy, immunotherapy has been established as the fifth mainstay in cancer treatment. This book chapter presents the immune-modulating effects of cold physical plasma as innovative and promising treatment modalities for the therapy of oral cancer and its precursor conditions.
