Article 115 [Harmonising Laws Directly Affecting the Internal Market]

As with Article 114 TFEU, Article 115 TFEU is a norm of a horizontal nature that allows Union action as long as the internal market is concerned (➔ Article 114 TFEU para 8). This harmonisation competence also belongs to the shared competence of the Union (➔ Article 114 TFEU para 9). In particular, both provisions have as their object the harmonisation of legislation for the establishment or functioning of the internal market.
