An advantage in any form, such as, e.g. direct cash grants, soft loans with below-market interest rate or interest-free loans, capital investment, (unlimited) State guarantee or insurance cover, tax reliefs, concession of exclusive rights, provision of services on preferential terms, etc. Two important types of advantages require further explanation.
