Article 130 [Independence of Central Banks]

In conjunction with Articles 282 et seq. TFEU and the ESCB Statute (Protocol No. 4), Article 130 TFEU forms the legal basis for an institutional regime specific for the European Central Bank (ECB) and the (currently) 27 national central banks (NCBs). Together they constitute the ESCB.
