Aerodynamics of the Thrust Reverser of a Turbofan Engine at the Switch-on Stage

Abstract
A numerical study of the flow aerodynamics of a cascade-type thrust reverser located in the outer contour of a turbofan engine carried out at the switch-on stage during the flap repositioning. The integral aerodynamic characteristics of the thrust reverser are determined in the modes during the transition from the forward to reverse thrust. The verification of the numerical model is carried out on the basis of experimental study results.
