Influence of the Burning Time and Stay Period of Gas in the Combustion Chamber on Emissions of Toxic Components

Abstract
The paper considers the role of time and reaction rate of forming the toxic components in burning the homogeneous mixture. Based on the theory of turbulent burning, the calculation of the burning time and stay period of gas in the combustion chamber with small space of the flame tube, is performed. Calculations were carried out at various power setting. It was revealed that the high level of carbon oxide concentration is connected with close values of the burning time and the stay period. Modernization of a design is made that confirms the efficiency of the changes introduced by multiple reduction of the carbon oxides in combustion products.
