Modeling of Resin Feeding System in Vacuum Infusion Process of Composite Panel

Abstract
Approaches to optimizing the technological process of manufacturing large-sized products such as panels made of polymer composite materials using vacuum infusion technology are described. The results of modeling the impregnation of a large-sized panel-type product with different configurations of the resin supply and discharge system are presented. An impregnation strategy is proposed to reduce the uneven velocity of the impregnation front in the preform sections in order to minimize porosity.
