Deep Drawing of Spherical Bottoms with Minimal Thinning

Abstract
The purpose of the study is to assess the capabilities of the drawing process in obtaining the spherical bottoms without loss of the workpiece stability. The paper classifies spherical bottoms and analyzes the technology with given equipment parameters and part dimensions. The calculation was fulfilled of the model and the designed die for the implementation of four drawing steps that guarantee the drawing process without corrugation and with minimal thinning.
