Abstract

The article considers the problem of increasing the service life of agricultural machinery tools under conditions of abrasive wear by using hardening technologies. Improvement of cladding technologies for restoration of imported parts requires studying the physical and mechanical properties of the “base metal–deposited layer” combination, information on which is limited. The effect of thermal action during cladding on the properties of the metal of both sides of the part is established. Charts are plotted with indications of zones with different hardness. It is shown that the curves have the same shape for both sides and differ only in values. The hardness of hardened plow blades by Lemken is assessed. Criteria of hardness changes in the heat-affected zone and the level of residual stresses are introduced. The data can be useful in development of effective technologies for restoration and hardening of similar parts.
