Design of a Pressurized Tank for Silanol Crosslinking of Polyethylene in Cable Production

Abstract
The static strength of a tank with excess internal pressure is analyzed by the finite-element method. SolidWorks Simulation software is employed. On the basis of the analysis, a cylindrical tank with a truncated upper part for silanol crosslinking of polyethylene under pressure is designed and manufactured, for use in wire or cable production.
