Development and Production of Aluminum Matrix Composites
摘要
Abstract
Experience gained in developing reinforced aluminum matrix alloys and putting them into production is considered. In comparison with unreinforced aluminum alloys, such alloys are harder, more corrosion-resistant, and more wear-resistant. Properties of reinforced aluminum matrix alloys such as high specific strength and elastic modulus may be attributed to the presence of reinforcing particles or fibrous and thread-like elements.
