Abstract <p>The influence of the kinematic parameters in practice on the resulting surface roughness is investigated. The range of grid density of the machining tracks permitting decrease in surface roughness by a factor of 1.5–2 and more uniform microrelief is established. The influence of the grid density on the productivity of abrasive finishing is determined.</p>
