Abstract <p>This research is focused on the organizational and economic matters of unmanned aerial vehicle technology application for the purposes of public administration. The authors conduct a comparative quantitative analysis of the economic utility of analogue (human and non-automated control means) and digital (unmanned aerial vehicle application) approaches to the monitoring function implementation. The theoretical and applied significance of the study manifests in assessment of the prospects for cost optimization, increased safety and effectiveness of monitoring of public administration duties at the local and regional level.</p>
