Abstract

The restoration of machine parts—in particular, agricultural components—by applying composite coatings is improved. A new powder mixture is developed for plasma spraying: it contains hard chromonickel alloys, iron alloys, and aluminum powder. Measurements of the hardness, wear resistance, and impact strength confirm the high quality and reliability of the coatings produced. The proposed composition outperforms its existing counterparts. Specific surfacing conditions permit the restoration of worn surfaces on agricultural components.
