Development of a Torque-Based Overload Protection System for a Hot Forging Press

Abstract
The article considers the problem of developing an overload protection system for a crank hot forging press. The potential for upgrading the TMP Voronezh К8544 crank hot forging press (CHFP) for improved overload protection is investigated. A system for a torque-based CHFP overload protection that uses a contactless sensor of the rotational speed of the driven shaft is proposed.
