Abstract

The article considers computer simulation of the process of compaction of Fe–Cu (iron–copper) powder composites with 3 and 15% Cu content and with different contents of a process lubricant (zinc stearate). Compaction curves of a Fe-based powder composite with 3% Cu content are constructed. It is established that after warm pressing without lubricant, the density of the compacts is lower than after pressing with 0.6% zinc stearate. The calculations are based on indicator elements. Quantitative analysis of the compaction of a Fe-based powder composite with different Cu contents is performed.
