Abstract <p>The prospects for hybrid production on the basis of additive technology are considered. Specifically, the use of a digital twin for a universal hybrid production platform is discussed. The capabilities provided by digital twins include remote monitoring, control of production tasks, prediction of maintenance needs, safety assurance, risk assessment, and informational support. The development of a digital twin and the design of a universal hybrid production platform are outlined.</p>
