Abstract

The influence of heat treatment and aerothermoacoustic treatment on the mechanical properties of VT1-0 and VT23 titanium alloys and the residual stress in alloy parts is studied. The strength and plasticity of VT23 alloy samples are increased by aerothermoacoustic treatment (either in the initial state or after quenching), while the residual stress is greatly decreased. Heat treatment reduces the residual stress and stabilizes the dimensions of VT1-0 alloy components, while aerothermoacoustic treatment decreases the residual stress in the samples and increases the creep.
