Computational Method of Modelling a Polymer Matrix Modified Single-Wall Carbon Nanotube

Abstract
The elastic-mechanical properties of epoxy nanocomposites modified with single-wall carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) are investigated. The effect of SWCNT curvature on the axial modulus of elasticity during compression of the epoxy matrix is determined using the finite element method and the method of representative volume elements.
