Abstract <p>Platform technologies are promising as tools for managing enterprise development. The fundamental characteristics of platform technologies include: a single point of access to the data and the business processes of the enterprise; integration of systems, applications, and services to permit the management of development; and the use of up-to-date technology (cloud computing, Big Data, artificial intelligence, machine learning, etc.). On that basis, they may be regarded as a critical tool in reaching strategic goals during the digital transformation of the enterprise.</p>
