Analysis of Radial-Thrust Single-Row Ball Bearings Using Statically Indeterminate Schematic Models
摘要
Abstract
A new model is proposed for the operation of radial-thrust single-row ball bearings under load; five statically indeterminate schematic models are employed in the calculations. The results show that the load on the bearings is greater than previously supposed. Accordingly, even with careful design, the bearing’s life will be less by a factor of 75.42–26 663.9 than the value obtained by traditional calculation. It is found that, under a specific radial external load, the locking lug of the bearing’s outer race may open; that corresponds to failure.
