Ensuring Accurate Alignment of Gearbox Shaft Axes Using the Compensation Method

Abstract
For the problem of ensuring accurate coaxial alignment of the shafts of gearboxes N.094.44.000-323 and N.090.20.000-121 of potato harvester KPK-2-01, a dimensional chain diagram is constructed. Analysis of tolerances and deviations of the links of the dimensional chain reveals that accuracy of the master link can be ensured by the compensation method, using sets of four filler pieces of the same thickness or three filler pieces of different thicknesses. It is recommended to use a compensator with three filler pieces. The dimensions of the filler pieces are determined, with adjustment for deviations.
