Study of the Process of Wire Cut Electrical Discharge Machining of Layered Bimetallic Materials

Abstract
The results of a study of the process of wire cut electrical discharge machining of layered bimetallic material obtained by wire arc surfacing are presented. This method best ensures mutual mixing of two materials in the weld pool and a defect-free structure of the finished product. It has been established that the roughness index Ra of the 30KhGSA steel layer is 1.86 μm, and that of the 307 Lsi steel layer is 1.06 μm. It has been established that the cut width of 307 Lsi steel layers varies in the range from 280 to 300 μm, and the cut width of 30KhGSA layers varies from 300 to 330 μm.
