摘要

Abstract

To ensure optimal surface microgeometry in machining, technological inheritance must be taken into account. Such inheritance significantly affects the surface layer, the mechanical properties, and the overall performance. In practice, only the change in the upper layer of the workpiece’s surface microrelief is generally taken into account in finishing processes such as polishing, honing, and surface plastic deformation (smoothing, rolling, or shot blasting), disregarding the technological inheritance in the lower layers, which takes the form of depressions created by previous operations. The method proposed in the present work to take account of technological inheritance is identification of the machined surface by determining the parameters of characteristic regions in the wavelet decomposition scalogram of its microprofile.
