Abstract
The study develops modern definitions and classifications of the motions of the cutting tool and the workpiece in the coordinate systems of the machine, the part, and the cutting tool within the framework of the kinematics of machining and the kinematics of profile cutting, the kinematics of cutting and the kinematics of shaping the original surfaces of cutting tools, as well as definitions of other related concepts, forty in total, with the purpose of creating a universal system of concepts in the field of cutting tools and related fields.
