Advantages and Disadvantages of Using Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education

The urgent problem of improving the higher education system as an important area of training specialists with account for the requirements of the time and advanced tasks of the country’s economic development is considered. All the advantages and disadvantages of the current digitalization of the educational process are analyzed in detail, including ethical problems and cybersecurity issues. The features of the educational process based on the widespread use of interactive and problem-based teaching methods are reflected. Various types of resources used to improve the quality of educational processes—educational, personnel, functional, and technical—are considered, and the main requirements on them in modern education are given. Measures to expand and deepen the use of the digital economy in education and other areas of professional activity are described. A conclusion is made that a comprehensive introduction of AI into educational processes is necessary.
