Optimizing the Ring Matrix of a Granulating Press
摘要
Abstract
The operation of roller presses with a ring matrix for the granulation and briquetting of green matter, meal, groats, bakery waste, and animal feed is analyzed. Their productivity and performance are found to depend on the physical and mechanical characteristics of the material being processed and the press design. Optimal parameters of the ring matrix are proposed, taking account of the properties of the material being processed and the supply system for the granulating press. Formulas are obtained for the spacer thickness, the width of each series of granulating channels, and the perforation coefficient of the matrices.
