Determining Shape Errors of Large Industrial Equipment by Aerial Laser Scanning

Abstract
Stable operation of large industrial equipment with rotating components depends on constant monitoring to ensure correct geometric shape. Aerial laser scanning is considered in relation to existing methods of shape measurement. Sample results of field research on shape monitoring are presented for a rotary furnace.
