Abstract
The fracture strength and dislocational structure of hard alloys and the wear resistance of wear-resistant nanostructured coatings are studied. The strength of structural elements in the alloys is assessed. Recommendations are made regarding the selection of the hard alloy and nanostructured coating for high-speed machining.
