Band Matrices, Markov Chains, and the Reliability of Engineering Systems
摘要
Abstract
Band matrices characterizing the observability and controllability of a linear MISO (multiple input, single output) system are considered. They are used to study Markov chains. Zero divisors (matrices with zero determinant) are employed here. The properties of band matrices for Markov chains are investigated. Practical examples illustrate the analytical calculation of transition probabilities.
