Contact Zone and Tool Wear in Belt Grinding
摘要
Abstract
The shaping of the working surface is investigated theoretically and experimentally for a cutting tool in the form of a grinding belt. The variation of the surface as a result of erosion is studied. By means of models, the structure of the working layer may be determined (including the case of structured abrasive belts), and the density of the abrasive grains and their distribution in terms of the height above the base may be calculated.
