Investigation of the Effect of Milling Cutter Tooth Spacing and Milling Mode Features on the Process of Machining Polycarbonate Workpieces Using Ultrasonic Vibrations
摘要
Abstract
The article presents the results of numerical simulation of the technological parameters of the process of milling polycarbonate workpieces at different combinations of cutter tooth spacing, cutting depth, and cutting speed with and without using ultrasonic vibrations. The influence of cutter tooth spacing and milling mode features on the technological parameters of the process, including friction and cutting forces and temperature, is established. Using ultrasonic vibrations achieves a decrease in the main component of the cutting force and in the average and maximum temperatures in the chip-tooth and tooth-workpiece contact areas.
