Fabrication of Titanium Alloy-Based Composite Materials from Bimodal Powder Mixtures Ti–6Al–4V–(Cu–Al) by Direct Selective Laser Melting
摘要
Abstract
The study proposes compositions and manufacturing technology for novel composite materials based on Ti–6Al–4V titanium alloy powders and presents the results of studying the processes of formation of the structure and properties of these materials. The results of the study of composites fabricated from bimodal powder mixtures Ti–6Al–4V–(Cu–Al) by direct selective laser melting reveal their potential of significantly improved strength properties compared to the base material.
