Influence of Temperature on the Fretting Wear of Steel Surfaces

Abstract
A method is proposed for protecting frictional pairs from fretting wear at high temperatures, without lubricant. In fretting wear of steel frictional pairs, the temperature has the main influence on the wear resistance. A system is developed for fretting wear tests with heating. This system is used to determine the wear resistance of steel samples in a frictional pair on fretting with heating to 200°C.
