Abstract

The onset dates of hydrological seasons in Vostok Bay (the Gulf of Peter the Great, the Sea of Japan) have been revealed based on the data of surface water temperature measurements for 1996–2022. The mean, minimum, and maximum lengths of winter, spring, summer, and autumn seasons have been determined. The average dates of temperature transition through 0, 5, 10, 15, and 20°C in a spring-summer season and through 20, 15, 10, 5, and 0°C in a autumn-winter season have been found, and their variability has been studied against the background of recent climate changes.
