Abstract <p>On the basis of new data from regional studies and calculations, the map of effective discharges of Russian rivers has been corrected. New results are presented that allow refining the boundaries of the existing zones and areas and identifying a special zone of Kamchatka where a complex combination of conditions for effective discharges typical of several zones at once is observed. The influence of anthropogenic activity on effective discharges is shown.</p>
