Study of the Summer Monsoon in the South of the Primorsky Krai according to Radiosonde Data
摘要
Based on the daily two-term aerological observations in Vladivostok (the Sadgorod aerological station) for May–August in 1996–2021, the troposphere characteristics during the summer Far Eastern monsoon are considered. Quantitative estimates of the lifetime, height, and monsoon flow intensity are obtained. It is shown that the height of the atmospheric boundary layer, the lifting condensation level, and precipitable water change markedly with the monsoon onset. Changes in the characteristics also depend on a stage of the monsoon. In most cases, the monsoon circulation is accompanied by an inversive temperature distribution in the atmospheric boundary layer. However, during the summer monsoon, conditions are formed that are favorable for significant precipitation, including convective showers and even thunderstorms.
