Water Resources of the Crimean Peninsula and Their Use under Conditions of Water Blockade (2014–2021)
摘要
The objective of the study is to evaluate and analyze the modern data on water resources and their use in the region, which is a relevant problem. It is shown that in terms of renewable water resources per inhabitant, the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol are in the worst position in the Russian Federation. An assessment of changes in the volume of water withdrawal and the structure of water consumption in 2014–2021 is provided. The damage to river runoff due to the water withdrawal from surface and underground sources and the water resource utilization factor are calculated for the main rivers of the Crimean Peninsula. It has been revealed that most of the studied river basins are characterized by a high or very high load on water resources.
