On the Helicity of Slope Flows

Abstract
A generalization of the Prandtl’s stationary model of slope flows taking into account the influence of Coriolis accelerations is considered. The helicity of stationary slope flows is calculated analytically. The calculations show that the helicity of such flows, in principle, can be very significant even at very small angles of the lower boundary inclination. This result is especially enhanced for weak background stratifications.
